I am a propitious optimist, a mental health advocate, and a lover of all things that life has to offer—the good, the bad and the sour.

After 17 years in sales and corporate leadership and a bounty of life experience, I have discovered these three things are my passions:

1. Supreme Accountability

​

I believe that supreme accountability is the gateway to living your best and most successful, powerful life. This can transfer into your personal and professional spaces. After reading Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, I knew that I was on to something. In my opinion, this is the best trait of a leader. When you are supremely accountable, your team is more inclined to show up, exceed expectations and respect you.

2. Cultural Competency

​

As a half-Korean, half-African American girl born in Wichita, Kansas, who grew up in Okinawa, Japan, then moved to the inner-city of Jacksonville, Florida, I have experienced life from many angles. I have a deep understanding of various socio-economic statuses as well as diverse cultural stances. Most people view life through their cloistered lens, but it's about opening your mind and your perspective to understand life from the outlook of others. Cultural competency fosters meaningful and mutually beneficial interpersonal relationships.

3. Lemons

Lemons tend to get a bad wrap. We have a propensity to focus on how sour they taste and for most of us that taste is unpleasant. But lemons offer many healing properties and benefits to us as humans. Learning to utilize the power of the lemon—the ones we buy at the store and the ones that life gives us—will impact our lives in ways that we never could have imagined.
